    FPS Problems Dell Xps m1730

    Hello just looking for some advice really for getting more performace from my xps atm is seems to be having a hard time with ut3 droping from 60fps to 30-40

    switching to SLI mode doesnt really seem to help just casues more ramdom drops in the fps im hoping to aim for a smooth 60fps on all maps etc any idea guys Specs so far


    Intel core 2 duo t7500 2.20ghz
    8700m gt sli
    vista 32bit Ultimate
    2gb ram

    [ 8700m driver atm 167.45] also install the optional windows update driver did nothing as far as i can see

    any ideas what to do ?

    UT3 does not benefit from SLI, as a matter of fact you are better off having it disabled for that game.

    What kind of settings and resolution do you have?

    Also, do you have hardware physics enabled? The XPS M1730 has the Ageia PhysX card installed so it should provide some boost (if we are to believe the marketing hype that physics cards are that is).

    The physics card only benefits 2 maps that are currently only available through download from the Ageia website.
