OK,
So I just received the Lenovo System in my SIG yesterday, and as you might imagine I was very excited to try a 'taxing' game on this rig.
So, I loaded up BFBC2 and was very disappointed, surely something has to be amiss.

I should be able to run with ~30FPS with settings on HIGH...I was struggling to get that with settings on LOW, at native res.
All drivers are up to date. Any suggestions on what I might try to solve this problem?
Thanks

Check what verison of direct X the game is rendering in, it makes a huge performance differnce with almost no visual differnce (at least to my eyes)

Is there some sort of throttling going on? Did you set the power settings to 'high performance' in windows?

It's fixed now, I have no idea what it was...but the good 'ole restart fixed the problems...
...feel a bit SHEEPISH! =]
I had uninstalled some bloat-ware, and I'm guessing it was something to do with that. -
Bad Company 2 is very poorly optimized. You're not going to get decent framerates out of that game without a high-end quad core CPU; we're talking well over 2GHz. Even people with high end custom desktop computers (3.0GHz and above with 5870/GTX 460 and above) often don't get the performance that they should.

Barely get ~30 with the laptop in my sig on all high minus the aa.

Any suggestions on games that my lappy will make look perty on high? -
Well it depends what kinda stuff you are into. Also remember that im playing at 1080p, if i played bc2 on your res i would gain some fps
You can try bioshock 2/batman aa/ the new Medal of honor. Splinter cell conviction, etc etc -
If you're into shooters, check out Call of Duty 4 and World at War, Half-Life 2 and the expansions, Left 4 Dead/L4D2, and the new Medal of Honor (single player, anyway...multiplayer is done by the same guys behind BC2 and it sucks just as bad).

This is the only game I own which on my desktop in my sig, I need to tone down the settings. By that I mean 2xAA and not 4x. Before I had my GTX 460, my HD 4870 had a lot of trouble with this game, no AA, and it would still lag frequently.
