i used to always run this game on 60FPS or higher on the hghest settings, with physx off. now, there are drops at certain areas no matter what settings i'm on (it's above 60 most of the time, and in certain areas it just drops).
i've tried uninstalling Nvidia physx already from the control panel, nothing helped. i'm running the AMD 14.7 beta drivers (with mantle)
    NP9150
    7970m
    8gb ram
    i7-3610QM
    windows 8.1
    thanks!

It could be down to a whole load of different things, you need to tell us how bad the frame drop is, is it like 0 fps or 50 fps ? If it's only 50 fps it could just be more gpu intense area in game, if its a major drop then could be gpu overworked and caused a short lockup. I had this in Grid autosport last day or so from new install as it taked my gpu overclock more than any other game i have installed. A 12.5mv increase on the gpu cured it.
You may have dust causing over heat in gpu heatsink or the TIM has gone off, causing a gpu overheat This would cause throttling on the gpu.
You could use a gpu monitor to look at gpu usage to see how it drops along with heat build up, also check out the cpu usage on each core to do the same. This might help you understand more what might be going on.
It could also be a new background process hindering the game. Like I said, you need to look deeper as there are so many possibilities that lots of testing various options are needed.
It took me a full day to work out the simple fact that my gpu wasnt stable in Grid Autosport but stable in all of my other games.

ok so here's the deal: my resolution is "undefined" (it's 1080p but marked on the game menu like that). i've checked the web for this problem and it turns out there was a guy (with an AMD GPU) that had that probelm and according to him, it was causing slowdowns and lag. unfortunatly for me, his fix (cleaning the .ini files) didn't help in my case.
imo, fixing the resolution glitch might help me out.
i have also tried uninstalling my drivers and reinstalling new ones but that made every game think i don't have a GPU so i'm trying this again.

oh! and as for the FPS drops, it drops from 60 to 35-40~ but it goes like that no matter what the graphics settings is (which is kinda wierd.) even lowering the resolution doesn'y change the frame rate.

My first instinct if nothing has changed on your system, would be something causing the CPU to throttle down and cause a gpu bottleneck unless of course its the problem you suggest, but why has it only now appeared ? Apart from memory leaks, I would think that something different on your system would be causing the problem. New drivers or programs, windows update maybe ?

no... i don' think it has anything to do with the drivers: both 14.4 and 14.6 work the same.
but what was the thing you said? memory leaks? what's that?
