I run WoW on windowed mode, and whenever i drag it to my extended monitor (hdtv), the FPS drops and gets choppy. Although most of the time my fps is 30-60fps, at least it is fluid, but whenever i drag it onto extended monitor it drops to 20fps or less, and I can clearly see the choppiness. I currently use a pc monitor at 4:3, 1280x1024 and an hdtv at 1920x1080p. The hdtv is for the most time, my extended monitor.

If i swap the displays and put the hdtv as the main monitor, the fps boosts up and it's fluid, even at 1920x1080p(crappy graphics card). When i dragged the window to the pc monitor, fps drops again.

I run a crappy ati radeon x700. Does more power go to the main monitor?

Extended means your driving both displays, which kills performance. Run one or the other.

Hardly, considering that one display is runnning 2d graphics only.

I'm guessing that you need to update your drivers.

I understand that it's running two displays and it requires more, but why is it when i swap displays, still with 2 running, only the main display (the one with windows start menu, all my icons, etc.) has good fps, doesn't matter one which monitor though.

I have up to date drivers.
