    Hello all

I just got my new M1710 the other day and although it is not the top of the line model it is still in my mind good enough to be running 100 fps on games such as counterstrike 1.6, the specs are t2400, 1 GB, 80 hard drive and a Geforce 7900 GTX graphics card, and even with all these my friend with 128 ati card is getting 100 fps where as i can only seem to get 60 at the most? does anyone know how i can get the max fps? and im also have it set in CS for fps_max 100.

    Thanks alot peoples

If you are getting stuck at 60FPS, it sounds to me like V Sync might be on, meaning the graphics card will only render at the maximum refresh rate of your monitor.

To get the FPS higher, disable V-sync. The video card locks the max FPS at the maximum refresh rate of your monitor, which is 60hz. But dont worry about it, your notebooks screen cant display more than 60fps. Nobody's can. Its posible you could experience extreme graphical tearing if you go too far over your screen's refresh rate.

Yup that has to be right , normal eyes can't seem to differentiate 100fps to 60fps ;)

Well when the screens refresh rate is 60hz, not even super advanced alien eyes can as the moitor won't display anything more that that.

You should leave v-sync on as well because you'll suffer from tearing otherwise.

As long as you FPS NEVER goes below 40 you wont tell the difference.
