FREE (No joke!) Assassins Creed 3 (X-Box 360)

Hey there NBR dudes and dudettes!

Assassins Creed 3 is now FREE on the Chinese X-Box Marketplace!

There are 2 things you can do:

Just make a new account and set your location as China, then you will be able to "purchase" the title and download it on your X-Box 360. After the "purchase", you can move the account to your preferred region.
OR
you can move your US/UK/etc account to China to "buy" this game, however in this case you will have to wait 3 months until you can move back to your original location.

New X-Box users are lucky, they can get the game for free without any restrictions, however if you are a veteran user who have many games and achievements on the account and want to have this free AC3 on that account too, then you will have to "park" your account in China for 3 months.

Do not worry, the game will have English language, in mather of fact, even even has other European languages too, like Polish, Czech, Hungarian, etc.

I made a new Chinese account, got the game, then moved it to the United Kingdom, so now I have an UK account with the free AC3.

is this possible i can setup a china based proxy and then make account?

 

No need for proxy, just select China as region at the end of the registration. Even if you move your original account to China for 3 months, you will be able to access it without proxy (some items may become unaccessible if they are not available in China).

 

Is this still active? I was looking at it this morning, but I didn't see the "Buy Now" button like I normally do for Xbox games.

Maybe it only shows up if I'm signed in with a chinese account? Can anyone else confirm?

 

Seems they found the problem so removed the entire game from the Chinese marketplace.
