Well if you are interested the game archlord by codemasters is completely free except the new expansion.

    http://www.archlordgame.com/

I don't think it got great reviews but hey its a free game for people low on cash and need a new game.

Yeah me either, but hey a free game for those people who like mmorpgs or just low on cash, no monthly fee or anything, might try it once I get my laptop back.

If you can scrounge up a few bucks, Guild Wars will kick the crap out of any completely free MMO, and still has no monthly fee and can be found for pretty cheap if you don't get all the expansions, which are awesome but completely unneeded to get a great experience out of the game.

You can even JUST buy one of the expansions, and play without the original game, but you get more out of the original, and can go from there deciding which expansions have content you want, or if you just wanna stick to the original content (you are in no way weaker then players with all the expansions, you just have less options as far as classes and skills to choose from, and of course can't access the lands in the expansions).

I couldn't get into it either... I quit WoW, and the next day bought Guild Wars... played for 3 days, then reactivated my WoW account.

If you're looking for FreeMMOs, check out fileplanet, they have a whole section dedicated to it. Also right now I know there are a few Open Betas going on for some stuff, like 2Moons.

Not free and still in closed beta, but Tabula Rasa looks to be an interesting take on MMOs.

I tried Archlord today and i must say...this free mmo is actually the BEST ive played so far!! not only is it nice and easy to follow it is also challenging. The more you fight the monsters in a area the better chance a nice drop will fall. That feels good! The game has nice graphics that look great compared to WOW.
