I took these pictures while playing the Flight Simulator X Demo on my laptop, with specs in my sig.

I also used an Xbox 360 controller as my flight control device and it worked very well.

The reason for the somewhat bad frames per second is that the demo was very poorly made and optimized, it was made about 3-5 months ago. The final retail version will be much better and run much smoother. :)

Otherwise the graphics in FSX are awesome, its leaps foward from all other Flight Sims and computer simulation games in general.

I've tried the demo on the notebook in my signature, and there doesn't seem to be a way to customize graphics: it's fixed at a very low res and detail. Am I missing something? FSX still looks better than FS2004, but still...

    Thanks for the pics.

    I m a fan of FS for a long time, and I m flying FS2004 till now.

I am looking for a new laptop for FSX, because now i m running FS 2004 on my desktop and it is too old to handle FSX I think.

Any suggestion for hardware? Should I wait a bit for DX10 graphic card? I hope there will be a thread here to talk about FS.

usapat, you enthusiasm is noted, but I will reserve judgment on the games final speed untill it comes out. Microsofts list of "fast performing pc games" is currently housed in a fortune cookie. ^^
