i have a friend which uses fake winxp, he has however cracked it so that the pop up window where it says click here to reslove this matter etc no longer shows up. It is still there but dont show up. Will this for some reason make XP slower like a punishment since he got a fake Windows?

P.S dont ban me its my friend not me :D

I just ask if the performance of the computer will decrease or not. Or if it haves any other negative effects

GET YOUR FRIEND TO BUY WINDOWS, as for your questions, I found the same thing on a 'fake' windows computer.. I got a legal copy and it solved the issue, now your friend needs to do the same.

The guy who posted above me is a liar or extremely clueless. It is not a "fake" windows XP, and there is no difference between a WGA-cracked XP or a genuine XP, except for the fact you didn't pay for it. Unless the WGA cracker was a trojan, there should be absolutely NO slowdown compared to a genuine XP.

This thread is not only in wrong section, but wrong forum altogether. Needs to be deleted.

There are so many warez related forums, why would you come here to ask that kind of a question?

Because he's not asking for warez, he is asking if the cracked XP would be slower than a genuine; A simple question almost everyone who posted avoided answering.

Avoided so as not to justify piracy. Since cracked XP is illegal, go to a forum that specializes in illegal warez. Most assuredly they have the answer and will laugh at the fact that this person is using a "cracked Xp" as oppossed to the more commonly used "VLK" version.

Answering these questions attracts that sort of crowd. Not the purpose of this website.
