The site states the requirements as 3GB, 4GB RAM recommended. Also, because of the hires textures used, a 32-bit system won't be able to play it without crashing at highest settings.
Has anyone with Vista 32-bit tried this yet? How much RAM did you have? I'm curious to see if it will run on my laptop. (I have 2GB right now ..)

It will run on any system that can run Half Life 2, it's just that you wont notice the difference in quality if your system can't go beyond max in Half Life 2 already. (you just have to turn some of the settings down, but there should still be an improvement over the original games on high/very high)

Interesting mod!
Just...its looks like they did double the 'enhacements' on Alyx. I think they were big enough before, but hey, "darker, cinematic experience' <-- hard to argue with that. -
I'm currently playing through on it. Although I have 64-bit Vista and 4 gigs of ram, but I was playing it with 2 gigs just fine before I got another 2 gigs.
-
Ouch, they sure made Alyx a slut.
I think I'll wait to play through HL2 with this mod again until Black Mesa Source comes out, and by then I will probably have more RAM as well and they will have probably made options for less ridiculous Alyx models and fixed some of the various bugs. -
I just tried playing with 2 gigs and 32-bit. Game crashed at the second loading scene. They weren't kidding when they said you need a lot of RAM. This latest Fakefactory is way more system intensive than the previous ones.

How are load times?
