    Fallout 3 Patch - How Long Does it Take?

    Ok, I want to have patience, but this is ridiculous. Fallout 3 1.0.0.15 patch was going fine. Then PC seems very sluggish, but Fallout 3 patch window says "Give 20 minutes for patch update".

    I gave it 20+ minutes and it still hangs. Repeated attempts also fail. Does it just take a really really long time? Or is there something wrong?

    I've had problems with it hanging too. I don't know if it had to do with me having the no cd crack exe. but I tried to update when prompted by windows live it took about 3 minutes, showed the progress bar and then it said that I didn't have original file and aborted. So I put back the original exe and tried again but kept on hanging, so I tried downloading the update from filehippo and it seemed to install. I went back and logged in to windows live from Fallout 3 and it said i had an update again. I agreed to install it and it hung for bout 20 min. I exited out of fallout3 using task manager then I tried to load again and it was updated. Don't know if this helps, but yeah it sucks to have the patches come from windows live I think it's buggy.

    Great. I saw a window flash quickly this time that said something like "patch 1.0.0.15 updated successfully" then it hung again. I guess it's patched. Not gonna worry about it, since it seems to be running fine so far.

    .15 patch helped me a lot, it used to crash and freeze during game many times before patch.

    I can't get the patch to apply. And I BOUGHT the game and not using any cd-bypass. It says will take 20+ mins. But yet it launches my game... and if I quit the game, it quits the patch.
