Wow, does indeed look that the recommended specs are for a hardcore laptop...hmm
-
Looks like mine will be struggling to run it.
Time to save up for a desktop!
-
****, I was looking forward to it. oh well, a few years later I'll run it maxed out with integrated graphics.
-
i told you guys,, in the last interview they said that the requirements will be Crysis-like, just like when Oblivion was first released. top end Hardware Struggled to run it decently.
-
This is not good news.
I bet it's going to be more than 10gb as well.
I'll wait till the reviews come out before I decide to buy it. If only it had lower system requirements, I would have pre-ordered it. -

HEH, i remember when oblivion came out it was demanding, but not like this! Luckily i can run it like a breeze
-
I was expecting these kind of requirements, no surprise here.
-
Wow...hope this game scales well.
-
-
i can play it on my desktop but i dont think it would work to well with my 2600xt = /

Hopefully my Sager NP5793 will dominate this game.
-
The minimum requirements aren't too bad though. Although, if you can only run it minimally you might as well just get it on console (if you have one).
-
o so happy i got the NP8660. might get this game on pc and ps3 yeaya

Guys, this game is on the 360, any computer with a 8600m gt ddr3 + will be able to run this @ medium and have it look close to xbox 360 graphics, with isnt bad at all.
Benesoft has a rep for releasing mod friendly games. If anything it'll be like oblivion with alot of customized graphical packages that fits low end machines as well as dream machines. -
its also for the even better then xbox 360 "PS3" . sorry if u disagree i just love my PS3!
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
the ps3 has a 7950 GTX thats still a bad *** card.
-
are u sure about that? sounds a little off
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
not really, i remember when it came out thats what everyone was being said so its still an amazing GPU
-
yeah i googleed it and i got a bunch of different gpus. i dont think anyone knows for sure. i read it has a 7950 gtx and then on another page it said a 8600 GT. i dont know for sure. this game will definatly be a pc buy first then a ps3 though.
-
Mmm...does anyone have any idea how a 9700M GTS compares with a 7950 GTX (desktop and notebook)
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
Child i dont even think the 8600gt was out when ps3 was out no way...then again it probably using a desktop GPU(i guess)
Cathy the 9700 gts is better -
Get this game for console if you gpu < 8600m gt ddr3
-
It's decent, but nowhere as powerful as a PC or Laptop's 7800GTX or 7950GTX -
I take it there is no chance my laptop will run it at medium-ish settings?
-
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
i always heard that it was the 7950 gtx......what does 360 use?
-
It has 48 unified (pixel + vertex) shaders, but it isn't DX10 as it lacks some DX10 specific things like geometry shaders.
It also has ~11MB EDRAM with 256GB/sec! bandwidth in addition to it's main (shared) 512MB memory which runs at 22.4GB/sec. Again, this is something you generally don't see in PC GPUs.
I've no idea how to rate the 360's GPU memory bandwidth, adding the 2 pools together isn't honest as only a very small amount is 256GB/sec and the main 512MB is shared with the CPU. Yet you can't discount the EDRAM as it lets the 360 do AA almost for "free" (less performance hit.) -

BenLeonheart walk in see this wat do?
Xenos? made by ATi
-
(They weren't going to repeat that Xbox mistake with the 360) -
**** another Crysis.
-
people need to remember, just because you can't play it at "recommended' or "high" settings, does not mean it will look worse or not as good as the console versions. -
Any idea on how my laptop will run it? I'm really a BIG BIG fan of the fallout series and wish mine runs it well, atleast at medium settings.
-
I would estimate around medium settings.

for whoever doesn't already know, SpikeTV is gonna be showing 15 minutes of new Fallout 3 footage tonight on GameTrailers TV.
-
this game is already leaked for 360, but pc version will be best

haha, yea I just started playing Mass Effect and almost completely lost interest in Fallout 3. I can't imagine it could be any better than this game.
-
Those are insane.
I hope my system will make the cut ;D -
So... what's "terribly-unoptimized" about it?
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
looks like i might have to get this after allbut i need to save my money, decision decisions

what settings would my g1s run it on? would it look better than on ps3?
-
December's issue of XBox Magazine gives Fallout 3 a 10/10 rating. Although I pre-ordered the CE for PC I may pick up the 360 version as well.
-
after the letdown far cry 2 was, im very excited about this!
and COD5, and dead space.. -
-
I have a two month old ASUS M50SV-A1 - it's stock except for a 7200rpm hard disk and an overclock that nets a 30-35% increase in frame rate in stress-tests...
What are my chances of being able to run this, and on what kind of specs?
I can run oblivion (the streamline version) on full specs at what I consider to be a good framerate (don't have an actual value). What settings on FO3 are likely to give a similar framerate?
