Hard to tell since the game's not out yet, but it will be using an enhanced version of the game engine used for Oblivion so it will probably be more demanding.

Hmmm... I just hope there's no need for a streamline-style patch (consumer-coded) for FO3... That improved Oblivion performance by a solid amount, and I hope the programmers have taken that on board...
*EDIT* Mind you, I suppose I can deal with not running it at 1400x900 if the consoles are at 1280x720 lol... -

Not to bring up an otherwise dead thread with a question but:
I did a search on the thread and didn't find an answer, Anybody know how this game plays on a laptop comparable to mine.
How do you think it'll play on an HD2600? I was thinking about getting it on x360 but would prefer PC if Icould help it.
I know it CAN run, but I want to know would it be worth getting on PC over Xbox 360. Like graphics, FPS, etc. -

wish it had a demo out, I'll have to run 3Dmark 06 soon and see how I stack up. -
Well... I dont know about "stacks up." That may imply to some it is equal to.

HD 3650

The 3650 has 100 more MHz all around. That would cost you about 300 on a 3DMark06 Score in that catagory. Other then that they look identical.
I was just saying that the 3650 plays it fine on High. Mind you that is with no AA no AF and shadows turned off. The factory set for High is 2x AA 8x AF and Shadows on medium. I know how bad that stuff cripples that card so I turned them off.
I get about 60someoff FPS in Megaton. About 33someodd FPS out in the world.
I'm sure if you turned down the setting you could play more then fine.
Note though, when you start dipping into the 28 FPS area and especially down into the 22's, you start to see a LOT of lag. So 33 out in the waist land is about as slow as you want to be.
Keep in mind though, I have mine on a pretty steep overclock. Stock it turns about 40 to 50 in Megaton and about 25 out in the waist land. Thats how I know i titer on the verge of unplayable.
My core is at 708 and my memory is at 1008. That is from 600 and 800 stock. It makes a pretty big difference.
At stock the 3650 dips into unplayable rang on High. I can play on High only because of the steep overclock.
But I would bet you should do fine on medium. Especially if you are going to be playing on less then 144x900.
I will put my res at 1280x720 on Medium and see what it turns stock. -
Well... Aparantly Fallout 3 scales VERY well on lesser graphics settings...
On low settings at 1280x720 it was turning about 66 FPS out doors. It looked pretty god too.
On Medium at 1280x720 it turned about 40 FPS out doors. Graphics didn't look too bad either. -
