    Hi Guys!

To everyone who's using XPS 1330 with 8400M GS and hesitating if they should purchase Fallout 3 or not, I say DO IT! :). If you don't mind playing in 800x600 (which makes no diff to me on a laptop screen really) then go for it.

I've seen so many doom and gloom replies to Fallout 3 and 8400m GS in other threads. The game looks great with HNR (improved bloom) and 4xAF enabled in medium details and runs completely smooth, indoors, outdoors, in Megaton. I am really surprised! Haven't tested with water reflections on, currently off on my machine so you mite wanna try that too.

I think drivers are important, and the new original ones from NVIDIA website really do the job.

Can't wait for my Studio XPS to arrive so I can crank it up even more, but really it's not necessary as at the moment it looks about as good as on my desktop with 9800 and ultra settings! :)

Fallout 3 works on my 9300m GS on my Asus N10J at 1024x600 with low/med settings. Looks and plays great, even though I haven't played it too much. I did make it into the wasteland and that first nuke city.

Yeah, it starts off really slow and seems small, it doesnt quite get you hooked until you realise the vastenss of the wasteland, hundreds of locations to discover, quests to complete, weapons to pick up, people to meet and enemies to kill. First time I played through it took me around 15 hours main quest only, didnt care much about skills or perks or any of this stuff. Second playthrough I've clocked up around 30 and not even touched any of the main quest. Just exploring and building my character exactly the way I want it, and there are many many different ways to do it believe you me. This game will last! I don't want it to end :)

Hello Spartan82! I also have the Dell xps m1330 with 8400m gs. I am trying to run Fallout 3 and am having a hard time matching your experience with the game. How do you run it at 800x600? It only gives me the option of 1200x800...

I would greatly appreciate your help in emulating your experience, (ie drivers, settings ect..)

    Thank you!
