I had the same problem last time I played F2. For me it worked to exit the game and start it again or just minimalize using alt-tab and than go back, sometimes I had to try multiple times...

You do realize that Fallout 2 is a 2D game released in 1998, and that the new Solitare games in Windows, with the exploding fireworks at the end, are about 2x more intensive?

Try setting your color depth to 16-bit instead of 32-bit. It helps with some other old games that have color issues like that.

Maybe its a Windows 7 compatability issue?

You could try installing Virtualbox and virtualize a older Windows, like Windows 98 or 2000, and then install the game on that.
Should work, and maybe even you can get hardware accellerated 2D and 3D if Virtualbox supports intel GMA. :)

Thanks for the tips guys, and i need to mention this, because apparently some of you think that I can't run fallout 2(which is very embarrassing).
I have a dual boot computer, with Vista and Win 7.
Before i got windows 7, i had fallout 2 installed on vista with no problems at all.
When i got windows 7, i tried to install fallout 2 and i got the problem i was talking about. And when i tried it on vista, it messed up there as well.
