"Jeff Gardiner, Bethesdas lead producer on Fallout 3″ DLC, wouldnt confirm what sort of weapons wed be seeing, but he did say that youll definitely be getting more ammo for your Alien Blaster, and there will be new galactic doodads to tool around with, as well. As for the style of play in Mothership Zeta he said itll be more action-oriented. Like Operation Anchorage? Just a bit more focused [than "Point Lookout"], with less of an emphasis on exploration.
If I wanted to play a FPS, I'd play Crysis !
This is what I'm talking about when I say "ALL" gaming is becoming homogenized, with a one size fits all mentality !

Welcome to the gaming industry, please enjoy your stay.

Huh?
I thought it was an FPS -
Fallout series used to be good when it was just pure turn-based and had the third person perspective view. The only reason I bought Fallout 3 was for collection purposes.

Welcome to the world of FPS/RPG's.
Bioshock and Mass Effect are two other RPG shooters that come to mind. -

So i take it you didnt like fallout 3? -

See, I have the opposite reaction. Part of my problem is I love turn based strategy and tactical games; it's why I have such a hard time finding good stuff for me to play these days. Still, though, it takes all kinds - and it's easy to see from the titles offered today that I'm in the minority in my tastes! -

Well look at it this way you got starcraft 2 to look forward too(i am waiting as well)

Thund3rball I dont know, I'm guessing
SC2 is hardly turn based.
@ OP, you should check out Total War games. You can pause the game, set up your lines, un-pause, play out a bit, pause, rinse repeat. Pretty much turn based if you play it like that.
Edit: oh and looksy here... Empire Total War is 50% off at Steam this weekend!!! -
I found Fallout 3's "FPS" aspect to be way too sluggish. As in I'd scroll the mouse, and after I stopped moving it the game would have to play catch up.
I used to like turn based rpgs but they eventually got boring and all seemed like the same style of game play. I'm glad the market is going away from that. There's no real sense of accomplishment because it doesn't take any skill.
However, I do like tactic games, where it's turn based, but you have to control an army/team across a map, like Final Fantasy Tactics. Because that actually requires some strategy.
