Just installed 180.40 on my DDR3 8400m GS and now my fan is going insane. For no reason it keeps turning on and off. Rivatuner says that I'm idling at about 67, which is normal for me. Under load it got as high as 102 according to rivatuner (no artifacts). What's going on here? How do I fix this? I was using 175.97 before 180.40 and that didn't give me this problem. Ideas?

I've tried 179.14 as well, same problem. Now I'm back at 175.97 and everything is fine.

Try Dox's 178.24 customized driver ver 1.1. It regulates my temps very nicely by controlling the fan and it boosts performance considerably. He tweaked especially for laptops, which means no downclocking when gaming on battery.

I'll try that jacob, but I doubt it will help. I've tried XtremeG drivers and they don't work either, same problem.
