Just want to share a few pictures with you allI'll do a review later when I finish with Dead Space (still on chapter 7 by the time I am writing this).
Sorry about the picture quality, I had to use my PSP camera because my friend borrowed my other camera.
Inside the box :
1) The game
2) Two sided-poster (the main character and the world map)
3) Mini Art-Book
4) "The making of" DVD
5) "One sized fits all" black colored t-shirt
I did not see any OST cd, it could be that it was never intended to be included with the packaging or perhaps they just merged it together with the extra DVD.

how about some benchmarks with that 8600m gt of yours?

Ok, I run the Far Cry 2 built-in benchmark on high setting (on my spec when I selected high settings, the geometry and the shadow somehow remained at medium). I did not turn on the v-sync and AA during benchmark/gameplay. The average fps was 28.05 with 38.83 as the highest and 22.15 as the lowest.
During the actual gameplay itself, I noticed a "few" slow downs but to be honest they did not bother me at all. It was a completely different thing if we have to compare it to Crysis because in the other case even if medium settings are applied to Crysis, slow downs can still be quite annoying.
Now, I believe that some might question which one has the better graphic? Is it Far Cry 2 or Crysis? If you want a straight answer from me than Crysis is the winner, but overall Far Cry 2 manages to deliver the best exotic outdoor experience. I am not talking about the game itself here, when I said overall I really meant everything : gameplay, immersion/experience, and system requirement. Crysis is a good game and I mean it, but unfortunately the developer just bothered too much on "jaw-dropping micro" details that the players only notice and amaze at during their first experience with the game. These details that I mentioned before are something like debris, ultra-realistic explosion, splashing water effect, and even weapon cartridge ejection. When I become so absorbed with the game, I won't really pay extra attention to all these little details that cause the system requirement can be so astronomical.
System requirement-wise anybody should not be bothered too much, I assure that this game is very forgiving on the system requirement. If your system can run the latest games like Assassin's Creed and Dead Space with little effort then this one is pretty much the same case.
One more thing that I would like to highlight is about the 50 km square sized area that is covered in this game. Initially when I played this game, I really wished that more bus stops could have been implemented in this game. Because sometimes driving or whatever methods taken to reach the objective spot can be quite annoying; not just because the long time that it takes but every once in a while some patrols and guard houses might be encountered along the way. Then I realized that I have played the game for three hours straight -- no wonder I felt concussed!
Finally, I'd say that this game is not something that you can pull a speed-run on. This is something that probably best consumed as finish one mission per day or when you're free or have some time to spare. This is not something like Resident Evil 4 or Dead Space that once you memorize the map you can just blast through it under 4 hours. -
I really need to pick this up....looks so good.

what fps do you get on med/high mix?
-
Also, did you do the test in DX9 or 10?
