    I have an m17x r2
    i5-540m
    Crossfire Mobility 4870
    8gb Ram
    128gb Samsung ssd
    Fresh windows 7 install

I know there isnt any driver problems or software problems as i just did a fresh install of win 7. On single card i get an average of 40fps on low settings @1200p But i would like to utilise crosfire and it doesnt seem to kick in. In this game anything under 60fps seems choppy. I believe it is amd driver related but i cannot install the newest betas because amd discontinued support for the 4000 series. I have already tried radeon pro and it will not work with uplay. Is there a way to modify the 12.11 betas to work on my computer? I just want to play this game without giving myself a headache from the choppyness. Any advice is welcome!

What do you mean AMD discontinued support for 4000M series? They are part of the update of newer AMD Mobility drivers. I haven't tried out FC3 yet with my 5870M CF, but 12.10 worked fine for me.

The newest driver update for the 4000, 3000 and 2000 is the 12.6 drivers. If you go to amd's driver site and choose the mobile 4000 series it only showss the 12.6 drivers

Download the 12.10's anyways and attempt an install. If the cards are supported the drivers will install, if not they won't. Worth a shot if you ask me.

I have just downloaded the 12.10 whql and is says driver versoin is up to date 8.970. Any display driver above cat 12.6 is incompatable with the hd 4000 and below. They moved the hd4000 to legacy. Everything up is only wddm 1.2 which the 4000 series doesnt support Im going to need some sort of modified driver
