The game starts up fine. As soon as the first loading screen hits, I see the words popping up become much slower. The game runs like a slideshow. Even exiting is a pain because the menus are super slow. Tried all settings, even lowest, and there was no change in frame rate. My friends pavillion with 6770 runs it fine at med-high. Specs are in sig.
This happened since the game came out. Was running 12.11 Beta 11. It didn't work with 13.1 either. Any help? I really wanna play it!

Have you installed the drivers the right way? If you've done it wrongly, that could be a possible cause.
Here's how you would update the driver correctly.
Reason for the entire reinstallation steps in such a manner: You could have mistakenly removed an essential feature to run AMD Enduro, thus causing your graphic drivers to malfunction.
Updating a laptop's graphic driver isn't the same as those on a desktop. If you noticed the deliberate part on NOT removing the "AMD Display Driver" option and read between the lines, that's where the issue lies.
Part of the Hybrid Graphics model requires the Intel HD to run a proprietary driver that supports dynamic switching between the dedicated and integrated GPU. When the Intel HD runs a reference driver from Intel's website, hybrid graphics stops working AND for this reason, the Intel HD should NOT be updated with any drivers on Intel's site.
Lastly, I wouldn't recommend using betas at all. -
Also, there's a HP user subforum in case that helps.

I installed them the right way.
Also, all of my other games run just fine. -
Check out GPU-Z while on Far Cry 3, look at the sensors tab for GPU load.
I'd suggest you place that info in an AMD issue reporting form available in the respective download section.

Otherwise, is it possible to swap from "Fixed Graphics" to "Dynamic Switchable Graphics" via the BIOS advanced menu?
As far as I know Far Cry's crapping out on a number of GPUs with issues ranging from performance to artifacts and graphical bugs and such (stating the obvious).

I'll try the GPU-Z load and get back here when I have some time.
And no, switching is done via the catalyst control panel. There is not BIOS option. -

I have a significantly lower spec'd envy 15 and it runs OK at 1080p for me, although the cutscenes are laggy.
