    Hi all,

    I have a Lenovo y550 with C2D T6600(2.2 Ghz) with a
    Nvidia GT 240M(1 GB),
    4GB DDR3 RAM,
15.6 inch screen with 1366*768 res
    320 GB HDD

Now the problem is that when i try to plat Far Cry in the lowest possible settings all I get is bluish color everywhere even in the land. so u cannot detect the sea from land.. I dont have screenshots to show this as i cannot take screenshots from the game. But the graphics are very bad. All the video settings is low.
Do it has to do something with Nvidia Control Panel?
Any help with be appreciated. This is my last stand.

    Thanks a lot!!!

Update your graphics card driver please. That should solve the problem.

Download either from nvidia.com or use modded drivers.

The original Far Cry is pretty sensitive about video cards unless you update the drivers and download all the patches. If you don't all you get is crazy coloring on ground textures and screwed up water shaders.

That's weird, I had the same problem with the colors of the game, but I installed the latest patch (on Win7 x64) and that solved all of my issues.
I used the cumulative patch on this link: http://www.ubi.com/us/downloads/info.aspx?dlid=691

    Hope it helps you!
    Cheers, Kindjal.

    Darn!! Tried it

    1) it wont install the full file.
    2) even if it does it wont install in my laptop(in the installation screen it will be struck on the license agreement screen, no matter how many times you press next. You keep pressing next and same screen will come. But it quits nicely....driving me nuts!!!!
Tried installing the patches from other different sites too as well as from the Ubisoft site but same results.
Also tried uninstalling the game but nothing..
I play the game in 1366*768(32) screen res and everything set to low :(
what is the use of playing a game without the graphics for which it is known :(
