Make sure you have latest drivers for your graphics card, and latest patches installed for Far Cry.

Far Cry should 'play' on a GMA 950. But you'll have to go for low settings at 640x480 I would guess. See Here

I'm pettry sure that the 950 would be able to run far cry, not a playable level but if should n ot display that blue screen. Try to update the drivers and game patches.

I didn't think integrated graphics could run Far Cry, but apparently they can. Make sure you have all of the patches installed (done in order).

Far Cry does work on the GMA series - and it is playable at the very lowest settings.

Yeah you should have kept the acer....GMA may be able to "play" the game, but it wont be very playable or good looking. I would say turn everything to the lowest setting possible and go from there.

Yes the GMA 950 can handle WoW quite well. WoW isn't that complex and you should be able to do 800x600 fine, maybe 1024x768 if you stretch it.

Here is the official Intel compatibility list:
    http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intel945gm/sb/CS-021400.htm

I should warn you that it's not very accurate though. First, they don't update it when new drivers are released, so some games that say don't run may actually run with the latest patches and drivers. On the flip side, their definition of playable may be different than yours.

The Nvidia GO 6150, is alot better than the GMA. With that you should people able to get medium settings on pre 2004 games.

i have a friend with a toshiba with the gma 900 and with very low settings he can run far cry but its still pretty lagg... how ever your blue screen is not normal and your card could be over heating, somthing wrong with your game, or you need to update things

pretty much any thing is more powerful than gma kfry
