awesome. wonder what the sys req will be.
-
HA! So the rumor was true!
Awesome, glad it will be available to the PC platform...rock on! -
Well, this is random.
I thought Crysis was effectively "Far Cry 2" - if just in spirit?
Seems the same thing happened with FEAR. There will be a "FEAR 2", but because of some crazy rights issues, it won't be developed by Monolith - so they have to come up with a new name for their paranormal-shooter-in-the-FEAR-universe-that-can't-legally-be-called-FEAR 2. (they even have a Name Your FEAR contest going on).
Now the same thing with Far Cry? (developer makes new game that's sort of like a sequel; some other company makes a game called Far Cry 2). Strange. -
Errr...wow. I don't know what to say. Speechless...... I thought Crysis was basically Far Cry 2.......This should be interesting. Hopefully it doesn't require too much graphics power
-
serious about f.e.a.r. 2? The game is so great, the title should be left simple.
F.E.A.R. 2.
So now that adds to my future list of games to get. -
Guess I should beat the first one......Strange that Crytek is doing Crysis, essentially a spiritual sequel....just restating what others have said. Not sure how I feel about that.
Weird about FEAR 2 as well. -
I dunno it sound cool being in africa and all, but I kind of lost interest in Farcry now that Crysis is coming out. And yea Crysis is more like a spiritual sequel to Farcry, because Crysis has its own complete storylines.
-
And I'd like to see Far Cry 2 using old Crytek engine (system reqs !).
Far Cry is very nice game and African savanna should look great ! I do prefer open space than small corridors and rooms...
We have to wait and see... -
usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
Far Cry 2 ill bet money will be using the new Crytek engine!
-
seems logic step if far cry 2 been developed by crytek if no than no. But i hope the new engine will be optimised good.
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
i would take that bet.
doubtful that ubisoft will choose to use the crytek engine for Farcry 2. they ALWAYS use the unreal engine in their games.
obviously FEAR 2 would be a logical name, but monolith isn't allowed to use that name.
the same is true with crytek and farcry 2. i think they should name the real sequel to FEAR "fearsis" -
Me Toooo.Ubisoft will use CryEngine2.Gamespot says new game developed by Montreal studio
Will Ubisoft crying Far again...in Africa?(Gamespot News)
