    Farcry2 Won't Load

    I've re-installed it 3 times and it hasn't loaded. It just shows the slash screen, then that disappears and nothing happens after. I've kept Task Manager open, and I see that right after the splash screen leaves, the .exe file also leaves the list.

    Have you tried patching it to the newest version -- I think its 1.02?

    Well when I first clicked the desktop icon, it said autopatching, and when it finished it ran an update. Do you have a link to that 1.02 patch though?

    are you using the disk or downloaded from steam.
    if its from steam i can help.

    if it ran the patch then that shows the game has loaded.
    have you tried opening my computer > put disc in > when it loads either double click on your (d) drive or right click and press >>>
    try all of these:
    install or run program (if that doesnt work) >>
    open autoplay (if that doesnt work) >>
    look in file for auto run and double click

    hopefully one of these should work

    I've done all of those multiple times. It seems like it's just crashing after loading, because I see the splash screen but when I look at task manager, farcry2.exe just disappears after the splash screen goes away.

    I installed the game successfully, activated the key, then when I launch Farcry 2, it autoupdated, and then after that the splash screen showed and when it disappeared, nothing happened. I'll try that link when I get home, thanks.
