OK. I'm opening a thread for my wife because I can't figure this out. I'm not a Farmville 2 player, but she is. I got her a M15X laptop with a AMD 5850 GPU. She is unable to see the icon for full screen in Farmville 2. I've found a couple of references online that say either it is not supported in certain browsers or by low end graphics cards. But I have evidence from other low end computers and other browsers that can see the full screen icon that prove otherwise. When using either IE9 or Firefox 16.0.2 she is unable to see the fullscreen icon. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash player as well as resetting browser default settings. One website says Firefox is the only browser that will show the fullscreen button, but it does not for us. Using AMD Catalyst 11.12 driver, if it matters.

Are there any Farmville 2 Yodas out there who can help me out? I know enough about gaming to find my way through most problems, but there doesn't appear to be very good support for these Facebook games. If anyone can help, you may save my marriage. Thanks in advance.

A machine like that would be far more muscle than necessary to run a Facebook game in fullscreen mode. My only real suggestions are to try yet another browser or to uninstall and reinstall Firefox and make sure you aren't running any extensions that might cause this problem.

Of course, if your wife gives up on Farmville 2 because of this, I feel like that should be more likely to save your marriage than if we help her keep playing :p

Use it as a reason to stop playing.

I know that her M15X can handle any Facebook game with ease. But it doesn't run Farmville 2 well at all and the fact that the fullscreen button is not displayed makes me think there is something wrong with her browser settings or graphics driver. I can't tell her to stop playing Farmville because despite my own personal hatred for the game, she loves it. And whatever keeps her happy, keeps me happy.

I'll try reinstalling Firefox with default settings to see if that helps. I can try Chrome, although she would really like to use IE. I may also try uninstalling IE9 and trying IE8.

Are there any Farmville 2 users out there who have experience with this problem? I'd love to hear from a Farmville 2 user. Or an expert on Adobe Flash Player and online games.

Hardcore gamers will use this problem as a reason to not play the game. I get that and couldn't agree more. But that's not going to solve my problem. If anyone has some possible solutions not already mentioned, please let me know.

    Thanks

For anyone else who is having this problem, I found a solution that worked for me. In Adobe Flash Player, make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled. You can check this by going to youtube and opening a video. Then right clicking on the video and selecting settings. And then find hardware acceleration and enable. Restart your browser and you should have the full screen icon.

At least now my wife is happy again. I can go back to playing Halo.

Answer to your question is that if you would have googled it the first then the first link would have been a zynga link:

    - Zynga Support

And from there it about halfway down the page it would say as follows:

Q: I'm missing the Fullscreen option - Where can I find it?
A: The Fullscreen option depends on which Flash player version your browser is using. If you don't have the Fullscreen button, please try a different browser, such as Firefox or Safari. If you are using Google Chrome, you can also adjust which Flash version Google Chrome should use. Please visit this article for instructions on how to change your Flash Version in Google Chrome.

    Hope this helps.
