    Hey guys,
Just saw an ATI graphics card Ad (i forgot which one) claiming it was the fastest graphics card in the world atm. I asked a few people and they said the fastest grafix card was manufactured by nvidia. Is this true?

ATI's HD 4870 X2 and NVidia's GTX 295 trade blows depending on the game, resolution, and settings. The 4870 X2 overtakes it at 2560x1600, but at 1920x1200 the GTX 295 generally performs better.

I thought Geforce GTX 295 was better, but the HD4870x2 could perform better and differnt res.

Well if it was talking about a laptop graphics card then it would indisputably be the mobile HD 4870X2. Otherwise, the 4870X2 and GTX295 are both insane.

IMO 4870x2 = GTX 295 for high end

    and

    the 4870 1gb = GTX 260 (55nm)

say what you want +/- few frames here or there, they basically perform the same in the real world.

Now lets talk price wise :]
Sadly ATI wins right now :(

But I am so so sure nVidia will blow our minds away with something equivilant to the 8XXX series which just... AAAAH! *orgasm* :D

    xD

btw, anyone feeling a bit hungry for a 2560*1600 laptop?
