Have you received the Enigma yet NJoy? If so how's it going?!

What sort of stuff do you intend to use it for? Gaming?

And which processor did you go for?

Yeah, I got it today. Have to say, I'm quite pleased with it. Vista feels really snappy. The biggest headache was to install wireless drivers - they put Atheros AR5, but don't provide any drivers (on the CD I could only find Intel driver). Solved the problem by using XP drivers.
    The card is 128bit, DDR2, scores 4535 3Dmarks in 2006
The battery life is very impressive - about 4 hours of moderate use is really nice
Regarding temperatures - cpu idles at 37-38, gpu - 54-55. Max temps recorded after 3DMark2006 and FEAR :projectOrigin Demo were 63 and 77 accordingly. Not bad
    The CPU I went for was P8600 2.4 3meg

Thank you, guys) I have to say, it is a nice machine)

ieatwork, forgot to say, the main reason I bought this lappy was to use it for Alias AutoStudio 2009. Interstingly, I was planning to dual boot Vista/XP, because none of my friends were able to run Alias on Vista. Out of curiousity, I decided to try to install it on my fresh VistaHP and it worked! No need for XP anymore)))
Also, it's so much easier to carry around than my old 17".

And the glossy finish of the lid is just hypnotising)))

It appears zepto have dropped their prices for the 9600M GT to USD205 and the 9650M GT to USD415.
    Better or still too much....

Zepto's mucro asia's website. It gives the price originally in singaporean dollars which is over 600 but on the website margin you have option to change prices to USD and those are the prices. Hopefully they will drop further during the next 6 months.

I've been waiting for a year to ask this question lol.
    I have Dell Inspiron 1720
    Intel(R)core(TM)2 Duo
    Motherboard: T9300 6MB cache
CPU: 2x 2.5Ghz (2x = just to make it clear for everyone that it's dual core lol)
    RAM: 4GB DDR2
    LCD: 17.1"
Graphic card: bloody Nvidia 8600M GT which has been melting down for the past 2 years lol

I want to upgrade it to a 1GB graphic card. for those of you that don't know by bow; it's a MXM II card.

    about the 1GB upgrade, I don't want any GDDR 2 !!!

Don't leave me any noob comments please
Such as: it can't be upgraded go buy a new laptop bluh bluh bluh lol.

Considering the tone of this post, I find it ironic the poster never figured out that Dell computers don't follow the MXM format and that the 1720 is equipped as the 8600m GT as the best available option for the system.

Yep. Make sure to read the stickies before posting...they are there for a reason. If you still think you can upgrade your card, continue the discussion in the thread linked in the sticky.
