i mainly like CS 1.6 because of the excitement it offers.. do we rush bombsite a/b? do we camp the tunnels? do we go under bridge? do we plant bomb? do we guard hostages? do we snipe? do we rush at all? do we try to pick them off one by one? do we play leap frog tactics? im all alone, 4v1..do i camp? do i try and pick them off? etc...etc...
i can find this in no other game..however, BF2 does come close, but their mp interface annoys me too much, that i havent touched it in weeks.
aside from all of this, i can play on probably 100s of different maps, thousands of servers, skins for guns ( too many to even begin listing), skins for player models..music on servers, the infamous announcer sounds (i think from ut/quake..forgot which)..aside, from a very high skill level in the game by many people...makes it very fun.
this is just what i can remember about it.
pb,out.

Counter-Strike: Source
Star Wars:BattleFront 1 & 2
Half-Life 2
Quake 4
Far Cry
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (1st one)
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (original w/o expansion)
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
CS:S online is probably one of the best online team games, very enjoyable and it runs great. BattleFront is a great way to kill time, the models are great, Jedi in the second one rock. Quake 4 gets somewhat repetitive but is still graphically impressive.
Galactic Battlegrounds is very old (2D; ran perfectly on my 233MHz PII Dell Inspiron), but I still enjoy it.
And KOTOR - my fav. RPG, wonderful to play through. -
sounds like your a star wars man. i like battlefront 1&2 alot but i really like KOTOR that was a fun game, have you played the most recent one (i forgot what it was called)
-

I'm a big Star Wars guru, I have a small library of books and everything else you can think of.
KOTOR2 was still good, but not nearly to the level of the first; the end was chopped off, literally, and it didn't have the characters nor the storyline of the first. I was very much disappointed at the end of the game.
-
ya i really liked the KOTOR series the second was fun. i liked the OBI-WAN game but i think that was just for xbox. it was fun. Have you played the Empire at War game yet? it looks pretty fun
-
Gotta 2nd DUKE 3D 10/10...I played modem games on that one
Then...Blades of Steel, NHL 1995 (sega), and NHL 2003 (xbox)
Also Goldeneye for N64, Mario 64 -
Hmm...
My favorite games?
I like Battlefield 2, NFS Most Wanted, Call of Duty 2, F.E.A.R., and AoE III the most out of all the games out today. -
oh yes i forgot about old N64 games like starfox (endless fun), Goldeneye, perfect dark, super smash bros and mario kart. those were to good days when gaming was just really simple fun. point and shoot or run in circles and shoot. YAY

May fav games I've ever played.. top 3.. as far as enjoyment went, would have to go as follows:
1)vCod and UO : many many hours spent online competitively playing that game. Can't explain it, I just loved that game and it loved me back. I "rolled fat kids" so to speak. Do not like the hit boxes on CoD2. Very random, due to the fact the game was designed for XBox primarily.. and even after Punkbuster cut back on the cheaters, I just do not like CoD2 at all.
2) Star Wars : KOTOR - While I have played both KOTOR 1 + 2 , there is no comparison in my opinion. KOTOR was a blast to play through.. all 3 times.
3) World of Warcraft : Yes yes.. I know.. overrated Warcrack.. I'm not a big RPG fan in general, even less so in favour of MMORPG's.. but I like this game for some reason. Somehow has alot of replayability.
Honourable mentions:
-Age of Empires 2. One of the best RTS' ever I think
-Rome Total War
-CS:S -
Wow, there are no Zelda players here?....Ocarina of Time is one of the best games...(Never owned it, but played it). Majora's Mask was alright...
But NO ONE is into TP?? There has to be someone...I've been waiting for this game ever since they showed that trailer a year ago... -
Some older titles but still a few of my favorites
Medal of Honor 9/10
Enemy Territory 8/10
Mafia 9/10
Current one that I play is GTA: San Andreas, most games I just look at the eye candy for a bit and uninstall. -
My first gaming experiences were all me watching my brother playing them (two years older). I wasn't just watching him, I was part of it. Strategy wise, praise wise, and insult wise. I watched him enough that it was sort of like our best bonding momments. I'd say the best game that I ever played with my brother would probably be War Craft III. The custom games were incredible and very much fun. Second would probably be the Command and Conquer Series, ranging from Red Alert II to Yuris Revenge, to Renegade.
When I started a little gaming (not really a gamer though), my favorite game was COD, the original. This game was incredible and provided me so much fun because I became so good at it. Now I'm trying to find a good game to play (currently playing DOOM 3, and to say the least am a little bored). I think I will play Half Life 2 next, I heard that is a really good game. I am also hearing a lot about OBLIVION, I think I might check that out, but I my X1400 will barely be able to play that sucker I have heard.
So to recap:
War Craft III
Command and Conquer Series
COD -
hey i am a big fan of Warcraft 3 as well. the custom games on battle.net are a blast and the DOTA's are just plain fun when you get kinda good. but i think my favorite are tower defence and or tower wars and angel arena although they do end up taking for ever and nowadays there are too many "secrets" that i dont know about so i always lose to some dude who is abnormally strong abnormally fast and the whole cheating type of thing so i dont play those as much.
-
Man, there are so much games I've played in my life that I loved.
On our first computer, a 486 we got in 1989, I played DukeNukem 3D a lot, as well as StreetRod (1&2), Leisure Suit Larry,Stunts 3D and Captain Keen.
More recently, my favourite games are; Doom 3 (scary as hell), Half-Life 2, Call of Duty 2, TOCA Race Driver 2, NBA Live series. Age of Empires 3 and Warcraft 3 are both very entertaining as well, allthough i suck at those against well-skilled human players
But my all-time favourite has to be Deus Ex. After 5 years i still play it on a regular basis, and I think I'll be playing it for a few more years. I haven't even considered playing the sequel Invisible War, I'm convinced it can't be that good as the original.
Oh yeah, I used to own a Sega 8-bit Master System as well; Alex The Kid, Sonic, Golden Axe,... Loved those! -
Forgot to mention: Mario Tennis (N64), just awesome, especially multiplayer!
-

-
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 [But I prefer 1]
Age of empires series -
ffx1 is for pc? i thought all final fantasy games were for playstation platforms
-
Does anyone here play Ghost recon or Rainbow Six??? i think that those are some of the best games especially island thunder. shout out for Tom Clancy!
-
FFXI is for PC/PS2/XBOX360.
-
^^^
Xbox 360? Really?! -
I've stated a list below of games I played for a very long time, so not games I play currently, as there are very little.
Knights & Merchants 5.5
(really this score is far too low, if you are a tactical mastermind you'll love this game. Besides, you've to run the entire economy by your own, I loved it, and this game is my number one ever.
Tactical Ops (MOD UT) 6.2
1602 A.D. 7.2
Again a game in which you've to run the entire economy of your empire all by your own, there's just less demand for those games than for others. However, there's a group who will really enjoy it. There's a new version as well, 1503 AD + add on, but personally, I prefer 1602 AD
Battlefield 1942 8.8
Current games:
Battlefield II 9.3
Sid Meier's Pirates 9.2
Waiting for more than three years for this game:
Pirates Of The Burning Sea
-
Yes, really, X-Box 360.
On a side note, has anyone played Silver? An old game that was first on PC then it was ported over to the Dreamcast. I enjoyed it a lot, hough it wasn't very popular. -
has anyone mentioned Roller Coaster tycoon? now dont judge too quickly until you have played this game. at first i was all like thats gay, but i played it and it is fun and incredibly addicting.
-
I saw my friend playing it, looked kind of fun.
-
25/10 - sam and max hit the road
10/10 - indiana jones and the fate of atlantis, space quest 4 roger wilco and the time rippers, day of the tentacle, elroy goes bugzerk, metal gear solid, commander keen series, lode runner, final fantasy VII and IX
9/10 - gran turismo 2, half life 1 and 2, parappa the rapper
8/10 - syphon filter, star ocean: the second story, duckhunt -
I really don't know how I could rate them, but my current favorites are Half Life 1 & 2, World of Warcraft, America's Army (it's free!!), Unreal Tournnament '03-'06, Doom III, Farcry, and FEAR. Halo for the PC would be a runner up. I really only play that when my friends and I LAN party these days...
