I bought fear and oblivion today for my 9400. I installed fear and all the patches. I put the res to 1440x900 32 bit. Whenever i do this it says the game is not optimized for this resolution. It says this in the graphics setting menu. It saysthis for every widescreen resolution. Does this means its being stretched to be at 1440x900? It looks good, crosshairs seem small tho. I got every thing on and on max except, 1 setting is on anistrophic 4 but i can go higher. What is this setting?

FEAR itself is not optimized for widescreen resolutions; it did not originally support them. Only after the latest patches was support added. So basically, Sierra is telling you that you can run the game in widescreen, but it's not going to be perfect - as in, some things may be stretched/distorted. I wouldn't worry about it.

You might as well put up the antistrophic filtering quality; it has only a minor performance hit and improves textures, especially those far away.
