    Fifa 08 PC HDMI Lag

    Hi, I am able to run Fifa 08 on my pc with max graphics settings until I hook it up to my new 46 inch TV via HDMI (which is on game mode if that makes a difference). After hooking up, it causes unplayable lag on both my TV and my computer. I even set the Fifa graphics to the absolute lowest setting and it still causes same amount of lag. I can play Elder Scrolls Oblivion with max modded graphics on my TV , but can't play Fifa 08 on lowest resolution! Weird...

    I looked around for this, but didn't find any solid answers.

    PC:
    Dell Studio (windows 7 64X)
    2.4ghz duo
    Radeon 4500 series graphics (not the greatest, but usually runs Fifa 08 fine)
    4GB DDR2 Ram

    The first thing I would check is that vsync is off. After that, try disabling the laptop display and just run the TV as the main.

    Your TV is probably syncing it at a low range frequency like 24hz while it's displaying on both the TV and laptop.

    PS, why on earth are you playing 08? Fifa 11 is by far the best one !

    Fifa 08? I would suggest reading a book instead of playing that game. I think the universe is messing with your HDMI cable on purpose to get you away from that horrid game.

    It was 5 dollars! I think its fun, but of course I haven't played Fifa 11...I'm sure there would be no going back if I had. Cool soundtrack though...
