Fifa 09, Any One Played It Yet?

i was thinking about getting Fifa 09, but i was wondering what it was like, does it have good graphics whats the gameplay like? i have played the 360 version and i really liked it but does the PC version compare graphics wise?

if anyone can answer any of these that would be great.

 

Well the full game isn't released yet... Just download the Demo and try it... The graphics are better than the 08 version, but since i never played the X360 version, i can't say how they compare to the PC...

Well according to Gamespot.com, the release date is October 14, 2008... Amazon got it available for pre-order, with a release date of October 14, 2008... So i guess you saw the 08 version and though it was the 09...

i just looked on GAME and it says it is out on the 3rd oct. so maybe its out in UK but not US yet?

 

Oh man....I'm not even a fan of soccer....meaning I don't watch it or play it....but I love playing FIFA....it's always been mad fun.

I'm not sure how the graphics are in the 09 version, but I know they've been gettin progressively better just like any other sports game.

 

Probably that's the reason... Games usually have different release dates depending on the Continent... Fifa is always released in Europe before US...

 

Com'on! PES2009 is better! The PC demo came out yesterday.

 

sorry but ive never liked PES, what can i say? i like playing as Portsmouth, and having the proper teams and players. i played Fifa 09 and i just have to say the gameplay is great, really relistic, i love hows the ball reacts

 

The teams can be fixed in 0.5 sec with an option file. But anywho, its good that FIFA have improved by alot over the last 2-3 games, pushes Konami to make a better game. PES2008 was a seriously...craptacular game.

 

well i guess you could do that. i might have to have a look at them both but i dont think PES will be able to be better then the gameplay of FIFA 09.

 

I have played both, and I preffer the PES series over FIFA without question... both in terms of gameplay and because of teams, player names, uniforms, etc.

Haven't tryed PES2009 though... is it out yet? anyone tried it?

 

Fifa hasn't changed a thing since 1998, it plain stinks. In 08, both FIFA and PES stunk it up big time but PES was more enjoyable and had better graphics.

The full game patches from sweetpatch MRA are a must if you really have to have FIFA. I have the 09 demo, it's so so - nothing spectacular. I'll wait for PES 09. FIFA is pure crap nowadays, I don't know why anyone plays it anymore.

 

PES 09 is even crappier mate, i Downloaded the demo.. Fifa 09 totally destroys it, even it still falls back behind the console versions.

 

Game demo is out on PC, 360, PS3. Try for yourself.

 

got the game.. sure looks prettier than any previous fifa version.. gameplay may have been tweaked .. certainly better than 08 IMO...

nothing Great though.. playing max settings on the 8600m gt ddr2.. a little stuttering .. but playable..

 

Just got it, its amazing!!!! graphics are almost the same as the console (PS3 and 360 versions) and the gameplay is completely different from 08. I think this is the year FIFA will outshine Pro Evo

PESgameplay+FIFA graphics=decent football game until now..but sadly its not..The graphics in FIFA 09 are much much better than 08...gameplay is improved as well(especially the collisions)...but general player movement leaves a lot to be desired..EA is heading towards the right direction though!

 

I was always more of a PES guy. Sadly, the PES series peaked at PES4, then just went down again.

I can't help but feel a certain 'resistance' to EA products and the way they release sports games year after year with almost no support or updates.

 

I played the Fifa 09 demo, i really liked it, expecially the new control sceme for the PC's using the mouse as eaither a movement tool or passing tool and the keyboard respectivly, and i didnt have a chance to play 08, but there have been qutie a bunch of inprovements from 07, and the fact that u can be a single player on a pitch kinda makes it a bit realistic, and they alwyas have been with good with getting the liecences of Teams

and yes the release date for FIfa 09 is a few days sooner in the UK and Europe, Lucky *******s

 

im going to buy it tomorrow as well as a controller
