    right i downloaded Final Fantasy 8 the other day cause basically that game owns i have 7 burned to a disc but im sick of having to buy discs allllllll the time cause as soon as i buy them i have my aunty asking me to burn her movies :|

    so i browsed the net and found something called daemon tools apparently ic an run the game from that, so i was just wondering is it any good? worth downloading?

    Daemon tools is a program to "run" .iso images of the cds... Yes is worth it, because it works :p

    how do i get it to work though like a quick run throguh i cba reading the READ ME files that come with everything

    You donwload the .iso images of the game and then "mount" them in daemon tools

    Also, Daemon Tools is a program that allows you to "mount" virtual discs onto a virtual drive.

    Requires changing a value in your registry. Find this entry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Square Soft, Inc\FINAL FANTASY VIII\1.00

    Right click on the string value labelled "DataDrive" and click "Modify". There should be a field marked "Value Data" displayed "d:" or whatever your current optical drive is. Change it to your virtual drive e.g. "e:" and click "OK". That should do it~
