Final Fantasy XI Players

I got the Final Fantasy XI Ultimate Collection the other day off Steam. It was only $7.49 so I could not pass it up. I had lots of good times in the past on that game.

I was not able to recover my old characters and account so I am starting new. I get a free one month trial of the game and I probably will just play a month and then cancel and get my $8 worth.

But.. if I get hooked again and stick around I was hoping to find some players here that are regulars with a good guild that could take me under their wing. Thats of course the big difference between playing the game and enjoying the game is having some friends to communicate and play with.

Do we have anybody here that has an open invitation for a new person in there ranks? I need to know so I know what server to join before I create my new character.

 

I saw that too, but didn't pick it up. It's still only $20 on Steam so I am considering it, but how much is it per month?

 

Wait a few months for FF XIV? If you plan to play that, I'll join you.

I dont know, thinking about it. Need to see how good the game is and if I can fit time in my life for a MMO. Also depends on cost of game & fee's

 

looking forward to FFXIV.
havent played FFXI but heard that it was mainly gold farmers
and that the game seemed to try and force you do quests and missions in groups

 

I miss the guild interaction in MMO gaming, so I'll be playing mostly for that, not to play competitive this time around.

 

Yeah same here since competitive play is too much time required, but it seems most of the good guilds are the competitive ones atleast all the ones I ever found. The rest of them were just rag tag groups that lost leadership and members on a regular basis.

So need to find a mature adult guild who can play for fun but still get into end game content with there more senior members.

 

My old friends that still play tell me there is a server merger coming up cutting the amount of servers in half. Games on its way out sadly and with the level cap increase coming the game will be changing again. By the time you get caught up ffxiv will be out another large chunk of players will be gone.

 

Yeah FFXI is just a temporary thing, Id probably drop it soon as FFXIV is out. But I know people still are playing it now and thats all that matters is now not later.

 

Where did this come from? Who said they wished FFXI was a single player?
