Hey NBR it's me ROT. Marshmallow Man is back :)

I used to play FFXI back in 2007, and quit for many reasons. Now i am back and i am loving it. I got the 14 Day trial and i have decided to stay in the game past the 14 days. Its that good.

The players are very helpful. The game is deep and intriguing. You really feel like you are part of the world.

I posted this here in hopes of anyone who would like to join me in game and try the game out. You might be surprised and decide to pay for it past the 14 day free trial.

I am Silithrias on the Fenrir server and i hope this post has encouraged you to come back to the game, or try it out and see if you like it. Please join my server so i can help ya get started.

You can get your free trial key here: https://secure.playonline.com/freetrialus/top.html

And dowload the game here: http://www.fileplanet.com/192215/190000/fileinfo/FINAL-FANTASY-XI-14-Day-Free-Trial

Please try it out and see if you like it. If that isn't enough then maybe this video might help:

Hope you come to the world of Vana 'Diel.

Eh, the game doesn't have the gfx, and there are too many japanese players (not because im racist, but because you can't converse with them in a group and it makes it very difficult). The game doesn't have very many people anyway, plus no permenante mounts, you have to run very far sometimes, also the economy in the game is WACK, WACK YOU HEAR ME! IGN has ruined it, some items that used to be cheap ie crystals are now like 20,000 gil i mean come on. anyway thats my beef with the game.

Ah yeah, I know its not the same game with cloud or w/e.

Im looking into it right now just because I remember playing ff7 countless hours until I finally beat the game and there was some cool ending video for gaming graphics at the time. :p

yea its a really good game, but it requires a LOT of time to do the fun stuff. i didnt rejoin simply because i dont have the time to put into the game, i need something i can pick up for an hour or two at a time and then drop when i need to.

Yeah not a very good reason not to like the game. GFX don't make the game, took me a long time to realize that. This game has dated graphics, which can be made to look better through the reg. files, and it is the best MMO i have ever played.

The Economy is much better now, and leveling is done much quicker. Though you can't complain about the end game. WoW has dungeons that take many hours to complete as do many MMOs. And there are alot of english speaking players, actually i have only encountered about 3 japanese players ever.

I was getting tired of Cry..., and CoD4. Wanted to break the mold by going back to a game genre i haven't revisited in a long time. And stop playing FPS like most ppl are right now (FP View gets kinda annoying after a while).

It is a much better game than you might think, or have heard about it. And yes the community is the BEST in any game, they are extremely helpful.

So who is gonna hop on and try it out. Free trial and key link in first post.

FFXI takes twice as long to do just about anything. I don't know why people still do Dynamis, which can last 3 1/2 hours... try being a melee and you'll want to cut yourself half way through

The economy is fine, but if you're starting from scratch you'll be spending a long long time getting decent gear, and this game is all about your performance, or the vets get pissed and leave the parties you stink up, hah.

I had a 75 RNG, SAM, and NIN btw, and when I quit I gave away a load gear worth millions. Speed belt included, but never had a kraken...I did all the endgame, beat almost every HNM. It's kind of enjoyable casually leveling, meriting is fun, but I still think it's more trouble than it's worth. Sure I had a friend who sold his relic account for seven freakin thousand dollars... but it's still a waste of your life.

4 to 4 1/2 years... but that's besides the point. You don't play video games to make money. You're obviously better off having a work life if you expect to make money. And literally living in momma's basement camping the same monster day in and day out sounds like sooo much fun....

It is considered one of the popular MMORPG's. Player base should be around 700 000 or so.
