I must start off by saying that I am very excited for this game considering for the last 2 years or so I have been playing a lot of Retro FF. Is anyone as excited as me? 2010 so far has been a great year for games.

I got mine for PS3 pre-ordered! Can't wait, too bad it's not coming out for PC, I'd rather have it on there!

Most of the FF games are linear so I don't get pushed off by it. But anyways, I'm looking forward to buying FFXIII. :D

All of the FF are great, even the old ones. They are worth checking out. But i must admin that i cannot wait for XIII for the PS3. I hope the battle system is ironed out a little better then the last couple titles.

    40 hour interactive movie :D

by movie theather standards apx $12 ticket = 2 hour movie

    therefore

    40/2= 20 tickets x $12 = $240

Id love to play it but no PS3 :(

Battle system is way different its more live action than turn based it looks like. No random encounters.

i enjoyed how star ocean: til the end of time did hte battling system - the encounters were done via real time action play where you actually moved around and whanot, not stand there and cast spells (not to say isn't fun).

They are not the first to do this. Well, actually I think they are . The current tri-ace (Star Ocean) developers were once the ones who created Tales of Phantasia (and thus the Tales series). The Tales series, although almost unknown outside of Japan is the 3rd most popular JRPG series in Japan, after DQ & FF. They are pretty well known for their real time battles derived from fighting games. :)
A violent fight from an optional boss (Arena) in Tales of Vesperia PS3
On a side note: The megaten series (Persona) was also created by them.
