Well, finally got it to work using 10.7 drivers. High scored 1974 however I believer it was only using 1 of the crossfire videocards.

Even still my G73 with 1 5870 got 2000+ without oc , so something must be up. I have 8gbs of ram though but hardly thinking that makes any difference.

Took this from a FF11 forum, it's apparently way to make the benchmark run in Crossfire. Haven't tried it myself yet though.

"This is for benchmark only, client currently works w/o a mods.

http://bygzam.up.seesaa.net/zip/ff14bfull-100618.zip download this, place d3d9.dll in ...\FFXIVBenchmark\FFXIVBenchmark\data folder.

Rename the FFXIVWinBenchmark.exe or w/e it is called that is in the same folder to 3DMark06.exe

Run the renamed .exe, can change settings in config.ini (RES=1 is low, =0 is high iirc) in the same folder."

Hitokiri > Did you get catalyst 10.7 from AMD's website? I tried it and it will not install properly, i'm assuming it's b/c it's not from Dell. How did you bypass the faulty install to be able to run the benchmark?

    Thanks for any help offered.

These are the steps I followed to install the 10.7 drivers for my M17x. Has been working fine for me. There are some issues with it though if your using a M17x. Go to this thread for more info on that.

Well, this doesn't look like something I'd be able to play at all without going for the lowest settings possible~

Good thing I'm not a MMO person, otherwise I'd be building a desktop >_>

I'll run the benchmark myself if someone wants though.

    Hiiiiiiiiiiii........ :)

Runs fine for me on Nvidia hardware, though there was an Nvidia watermark throughout the bench run. I received a score of 1500 on High (1920x1080). It doesn't seem to support SLi at the moment, so I guess that's a factor in my low score (would you call that low?).

I know it's an unfair comparisson but if you guys are curious to compare your results with a desktop 5870 and I7 920 @ 4ghz here's a score running on high.

I guess i'll be playing this game on my desktop.

People do realize that this benchmark is horribly HORRIBLY optimized and inaccurate right?
