Today I downloaded and installed the 174.74 drivers for my card, using the same settings as before via the Nvidia Control Panel, however something told me to check out NHC (Notebook Hardware Control) - there is an option that allows you to set 'max performance' when Powermizer is enabled. Of course I have it enabled Via the NCP as well.

Lo and behold I played WoW, CoD4, Crysis, and CS with ZERO stuttering.. coincidence, or non-Nvidia fix through NHC?

Thought I'd share. I can finally enjoy my gphx card!

It is definitely fixable. For me, I'm not sure if it was the BIOS update or playing with drivers - but after I played with drivers and updated the BIOS, I got rid of the stuttering.

We both had drivers in common - so maybe it is a driver problem?

    Are the 174.74 drivers stable?
So far I've been using these 169.04, with slight OC and I'm getting 4312p in 3D06.
Will these..174.74 take down my performance? But I'd really like to get rid of stuttering.

Its not a driver problem... its most likely a chipset/nvidia/bios problem, with the gpu getting too hot and the gfxcard by default from nvidia or bios starts to throttle like mad.

good to hear that some people are getting more out of thier laptops!
