    I have 2020m 2.4ghz amd 8570m scorpio black 500gb and 4gb ddr3 1600mhz.

I tried the game codmw3. In highest settings with shadowns and vsync off 1280x720 i get 45 frames. In lowest settings 640x480 i get 45 frames. Overclocking the gpu changes nothing. The cpu is definately not the bottleneck since i upgraded it form 1005m 1.9 ghz with no change to frames. I thought the 64bit gpu ram was the bottleneck but up to 8690m the ram is 64 bit. What could it be?

Do you get very stable 45fps in every level?

No. At times they drop quite a bit.

And now that i remembered it. I get weird freezes for miliseconds. The framerate doesnt drop but feels like the image is choppy. Like when you record with fraps.

Does it have switchable graphics? If so it might be using the integrated GPU instead of the dedicated.

I guess my question is, are you sure? Is it set in the AMD control panel and are you using GPU-Z to verify if it's working? There have been issues with both Optimus and Enduro where it may be set to use it, but in reality it keeps using the integrated GPU.

Otherwise the 45FPS fixed seems like there's a frame limiter engaged. Could be any number of reasons for this.

Im sure. I did what you said. The gpu usage is quite spikey. Works between 60%-97%
