    I didn't get an invite to the closed beta, I registered a year ago. But I haven't been too active on their forums.

    But very happy to read it's in closed beta, which hopefully means open beta will start soon.

    This is one of my anticipated games for online play. Actually this is probably my most anticipated online game along with GW2.

    Anyone get into the closed beta?

    If anyone didn't know, Firefall is an MMOFPS with an interactive, persistant world. It's always under constant attack and you must defend your cities etc, band together. It's a 3rd person and first person shooter game, you can switch on the fly, whenever you want, whatever perspective you want. The game seems to have some stuff to do with resource gathering, maybe some elements of RTS. Of course it's class based. And no it's not like Global Agenda, not at all.

    Oh by the way it uses cell shading, which I LOVE! Borderlands wasn't enough for me, too 3D still, they should have pushed it further. Firefall seems to have it done better.

    Doesent hurt that it will release as F2P either if they dont screw it up like some MMO games.

    I have been waiting for this game for sometime now. Wish I could have at least received an invite, oh well.

    This and Path of Exile are my top F2P games on my radar for the remainder of the year and next.

    If I had more time, and people I know to play with on a regular basis, I would definitely go with this game. I love this kind of theme.

    Clearing up the "launch" confusion - December in not a "launch" | Firefall Forums

    This makes me sad. I'd rather have a closed beta/open beta system. Now just have to wait until whenever this gmail system is over. Gmail was in beta it seemed for years...
