11.1a Hotfix: These are modded desktop leaked release modded for mobile so use at your own risk. But so far seems the few who have tried it are raving best drivers since 10.5. A good release coinciding with the "catalystmaker" being transferred a coincidence? Eh, won't flame him and not something to be discussed here, but I just thought that was hilarious.

Here are the drivers. Modded by asder00
Download AMD Catalyst Mobility 11.1a Hotfix [email protected]

These have not been released officially but were supposed to be released today. AMD retracted and may release next week. Anyways, try at your risk, hopefully work well for you.

So far from what I've read here are the major fixes and changes
    - Tessellation can now be set in by CCC to override game settings. This will allow AMD in the future to provide profiles for games that use tessellation. Because you know Nvidia paying for games to have tessellation on flat surfaces and on trees that are in the background so far in the distance it's hard to make out is really important.
    - OpenGL fixes, finally
    - Direct3D improvements that seem to boost games across the board.
    - MLAA available to HD5xxx natively, no more modding needed.

I don't think linking to another forum like that is allowed. Just google asder00 11.1

Still waiting for the official driver to see if the mobile version has Dynamics SG and if the desktop version boosts Cayman performance.

What are you talking about, I do it all the time.

AMD Game Forums - AMD Catalyst 11.1a Hotfix

If the CoD:BO and Unigine Heaven gains are true that would pretty much put it ahead of the GTX 485M based on the numbers from that notebookjournal.de review posted last week.

I currently have 10.11 installed. Is this a completely new driver or can I install it over the old?

You should always uninstall it. The whole install over old drivers recommendation was from a long time ago. AMD has an express uninstallation that is pretty clean for a reason.

Alright it installed without issue (Windows 7 does give you a warning about unable to verify publisher though). Gonna test it now.

    Did some basic testing.

Dirt 2 performance decreased because the GPU usage seem to be lower with this driver.

Vantage score is about the same, 9165 this run at 835/1090 but it's usually in that range so I can't tell if it's really better.

    FC2 perf. about the same.

    BC2 perf same.

    Temps are the same.

Also, MLAA is nowhere to be found.

Please let me know if you still have the pink issue.

Go to advanced view on the CCC. Click on the left, My Built In Displays. In the menu that opens up, click on Display Color. At the bottom on the window on the right you'll see a check box for EDID.

I still get pink, wondering if others do too. This is after to doing a complete clean install of these drivers, all registeries and folders cleaned.

^^ Its supposed to do that I believe. It changes the color to a pinkish hue so that you would know which monitors are connected to the graphics card thats being operated.

No it's most definitely not. It's supposed to use the monitor settings instead of overriding them with CCC. There is entirely different tab on CCC that allows you to identify which display is which.

How come its : Extended display identification data (EDID) is a data structure provided by a digital display to describe its capabilities to a video source (e.g. graphics card, Set-top box). It is what enables a modern personal computer to know what kind of monitor is connected.

EDIT: I think I get what you said now Lol

Its for temperature colour change, what this means is the temp of your tv will be altered to that pull bar is on the bottum, or "better optimized". If you pull that bar around you should either get "colder" looking whites , a more blueish white or a warmer white, this will play on the red to blue balance used to make white which can effect other colours like red. Clicking that button should allow for better colours once your display and that setting is tweeked because the vcard will display to the best abilities the monitor can output.

Im not one who likes modded drivers but if there is a gain for game performance no one should pass this up.
