When it gets here I wanna have stuff lined up to do with it to make it gaming ready...what are some things you guyz suggest to clean the computer up with?

PS: Before plugging the laptop in at all, do I needa drain the battery completely first?

PPS: If I reformat do I forfeit the Norton subscription that came with the computer?

    Reformat

Hell no. In fact your battery may die permanantly if you drain it "completely".

No you could re-enter your paid activation code.

Plug it in, turn it on, reformat.

    Install windows xp if possible.

update windows, install the latest drivers for your hardware, except video card drivers from lv2go

When reformating, be sure to do a clean install. Otherwise it will be exactly the same.

The "recovery dvd" that came with your computer is a complete backup that will put windows exactly like it was when you received so it does not really change anything.

There should be a sticky about how to do a clean install with the recovery dvd here on the forums
