What laptop comanies will fit anything above a Nvidia 7600 go 256MB GPU in a 15.4 inch screen?

    So that includes:

    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GT
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS
    NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500M
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 GTX

Which will fit in a 15.4 inch screen size? By which brand?

    Thanks

Asus V1Jp, F3J, G1 all have video cards better than the 7600.

but those card are only slightly better than a go7600 (go7700 and X1700), since they are based on a go7600 and a x1600 respectivly. Dell HAD on, the Precision M70, with a 15,4" screen and some sort of go7800 (either regular och GTX, can't remember which), but it has been discontinued. Right now i don't think there are any laptops with a card higher than mid-range.

I have been looking on the Asus site and I can't figure out how to see the price or how to buy the laptops?

Do they not sell them on thier site?

How do I buy one or find a price?

Thanks I know it's probably a stupid question but hey

Nope, asus doesn't sell their laptops on their site, you have to find a reseller. You can use the "Where to find button" though.

    Any other companies besides Asus?

I would like to have a 15.4 OR LESS inch screen and one of the following:

    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700
    or
    NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 GT

Any brands besides Asus capable of doing this?

samsung has a x1700 in one of their notebooks, but as a I said, it isn't a huge performance gain. It's only a small update, especially x1700

I'll tell you right now, you're trying to do the impossible. Fitting a power hungry and hot GPU into a laptop 15.4" or smaller just doesn't happen because you have to deal with heat and space issues. You'll need to make a compromise somewhere or you'll never be happy with the notebook selection available to you, not matter how much money you are willing to spend.

to my best knowledge, only Asus has those cards on their 15.4" or less notebooks
btw, Go7700 and X1700 are nearly identical to Go7600 and X1600, respectively
Go7800 is no longer available anywhere, it's been replaced by Go7900Gs, i think
Go7600GT is only available on the Vaio AR series, it's 17" though
if you have patience, and $$, wait for the Go8600 to come out, it's been rumoured that it should match the performance of Go7900Gs, or a little bit less

I would wait till Go8600 comes out... (some time in the summer I would guess) + you will get Direct X10 compability and Santa Rosa platform. Not sure of the price though it could be somewhat higher than average system with Go7600 today, though supposedly faster system ~ 10%-15% faster?
