I recently acquired the awsome game Company of Heroes, but I found out that there is a problem which occurs after a certain patch (1,7 I believe) which causes the game to slow down to 3-5fps during scrolling of the screen. This happens even when the game normally runs at 40fps.

I looked around on the forums and the internet and its apparently a common issue. Anyone aware of a fix for this?

Well, I've found the answer to the question, and I'll post it here in case others also encounter the problem and are searching this forum for answers.

I found that changing the mode of the x3100 from software/hardware to pure hardware mode fixed the major slowdowns. Now the game works quite well, possibly with better framerates than before!
