Is it possible to fix the FSP, I mean keep them at a defined MAXIMUM value?
I have this game that works always between 60 and 30 FPS, but it is annoying when it suddenly lowers it. I thought I could avoid that by always running it at 30, which is pretty descent.
    Thanks.

i don't really know what you're talking about, but if i'm guessing right, then what you mean is that instead of having your game running between 30 and 60 fps, and slowing down below 30 fps on rare occasions, you'd like to have it running constantly on 30 fps with zero slowdown. well, if that's what you mean, then unfortunately, this is not possible

i too presume what fadi299 has presumed so i would suggest to make sure there are no background programs running on the background especially antivirus scans or whatsoever that are quite hard on the RAM and HDD which may result in slow down of your games
also turn off Anti aliasing option in games and lower the game detail to keep it running smoothly
though these are just simple changes that you can make they may help to an extent
installing the newest drivers of your graphic card may improve gaming performance a Tad bit too but not that noticeble during gaming

No no, what I mean is a way to limit the max FPS (so instead of going between 30-60, it stays at 30). Like Halo does inside the game.
Sorry, my English has some issues. Thanks for the answers.

Maybe some of the utils like ATITool let you do this.

Sounds like vsync is your best bet, yeah. :)
That makes the game *only* draw new frames when the monitor is ready to refresh the screen (which on a LCD means you get a natural max framerate of 60. And if the game can't keep up with that, it has to wait for the next refresh cycle, which means you get a framerate of 30)

I think he is saying that vsync is already turned on, and when the computer cannot keep up 60fps it drops to 30 and really annoys him, because I know i annoys me when it jumps between 30 and 60 all the time.

Yeah that's it. And I cannot lower the monitor rate to 30 so I don't think the V-sync will do it.

I understand what you are saying, but I don't know how to remedy it. I was looking for a similar thing myself.

Turn on triple buffering. Always use triple buffering when you vsnc.
