I have a nvidia 7950gt ko and just found out about this scaling feature. Games out today are looking extra enticing so just to keep the life of the card, I wanted to lower the resolution: my native resolution is 1400x1050 so its always been huge.

    2 quick questions:

When I turn on the scaling feature, does this slow down my computer as if I were running a program in the background?

When I use this scaling program, I should be able to pump up the fps since I am lowering the resolution right? I'm confirming this because I'm worried all this feature does is just lower my viewing screen.

    Thanks guys
