My brother on Friday received a Sony SA with an ATI 6630m to replace his old SR. He likes to play Flight Sim X and this laptop is a big improvement over the older SR with a P8400/3470m. But there seems to be an issue with the service packs for FSX. With SP2 the game gets a black screen when you try to save a flight. With just SP1 this does not happen. I have been looking all over for how to fix it but can't find anything. And he needs SP2 for the add ons that require it. Can anyone help. Thanks.

Well, the first suggestion would be to try and re-install the game. If that doesn't help, we'll have to take other measures...

Have done that, have also tried repairing the game with the discs also. Have removed and re-installed the add ons too.

If you have the acceleration pack addon you dont need to install any other service pack as it is included. Have you got 3 discs? I have so just use them to install and try again.

Don't have Acceleration just the normal edition, but since nothing is working I will buy it.

FSX is an extremely temperamental (why I stopped playing) game, my only recommendation is to look up some FSX install guides the tips. FSX install guide:
