No contest Football Manager. I've purchased FIFA Manager 07 (favorite of the series) 08, 09 and skipped 10 and will do so with 11. The problem with FIFA Manager is how it ties it's 3D engine for results. When you can put Bolton and ManU and have Bolton leading before the half 11-0 you have a problem.

There is so much depth to Football Manager that a newbie can be overwhelmed. I got introduced to the series with Football Man 07 and I was hooked. Some don't like the new 3D engine in Football Man 09 but I love it and it was refined in Football Man 10. If you love deep Football Management sims with realistic results then FM is the way to go.

Just an FYI you can get better results with FIFA Manager by either simming results or playing the game in text mode. Some other pro's about FIFA M is the license integration and UI it's better laid out than Football Man but it received a major tweak with Football Man 09. Also the community supports Football Man with kits, teams, trades and databases than FIFA Man.

I hope that helps ya. :)

First Review is up :) Football Manager 2011 PC Review - Page 1 | Eurogamer.net

    Conclusion:

"The sum of FM 2011's parts is the most organic but more importantly, most believable man- and team-management experience the series has provided. Don't be expecting perfection, because you won't find it – but even if you own last year's version you should seriously consider investing in this follow-up, a recommendation I certainly don't make every year. And if you've been holding off purchasing a Football Manager game for the last few years, then this is the year to get back in the game."

    9/10
