    Hello,

I wanted to know if I should go with LCD or HD TV for gaming. Would LCD monitor give me a better resolution (better picture quality) than HD TV? I know that with HD TV, I can watch Televisions, but I never watc TV.

If you were me, would get HD TV or LCD monitor?
One key factor I like to add is that I will also be hooking PS3.

    HD TV 22" is $300

If you can get a decent TV for only $100 more than the monitor I would just get that. You would need to get a tv tuner for your computer to play PS3, and a good one can cost $80 or more. That puts the price of the TV at only $20 more and for that amount of money I would rather have the convenience of the TV.

Without knowing exactly what TV or monitors you are considering it isn't possible to say which would be better quality or have a higher resolution.

If its for gaming I'd go with the HDTV. The smaller resolution requires less horsepower and looks awsome.

If you never plan on watching TV, hooking up a console or doovdé player then you will want to get the LCD monitor.
Its all about the aspect ratio, the PC and most games run at 16:10 while consoles run at 16:9.

EDIT: Also depends on the resolution you prefer, is that TV full HD or HD ready?

Personally I would go for the LCD monitor unless you really need it as a TV.

At the same size, and with the same conections available, I would buy a LCD monitor. the monitor is more scalable (most TVs have few resolution modes) and you can easily plug a digital tv turner in a USB port when you want to watch TV.

But, for bigger sizes, the TVs get really cheaper than monitors. I use a 32" HD TV. I'd have to pay considerably more for a monitor with the same size. If you go that way, try to get a FullHD Tv, to have better resolutions available.

if you want to stay in 22inch I'd say Monitor.
If u want bigger, go for TV.
I have acer 22inch monitor hooked up to ps3(1080p resolution)
works great but I want something bigger.
oh try looking at fatwallet and slickdeals for good deals on TV.
To me 22inch tv for $300 is rediculous(even for 720p)
