    If your like me and enjoy Starcrafts single player campaigns and need something to do until HOTS comes out. Maybe you thought about going back to SC1 and playing to get some nostalgia or just freshen up on the lore.

    However its hard to go back with the older graphics and old control schemes.

    So I just wanted to share a SC2 mod that has recreated the SC1 campaigns so you can play them again with all the SC2 benifits like better graphics, familar controls, and of course not having to install SC1.

    So far the Terran and Zerg campaigns are done, I have been playing around with it some and its pretty great. It's not new news or anything but figured its not been mentioned in a long while so maybe some people do not know about it or forgot about it.

    Play SC1 Campaign on SC2
    --> Terran Campaign
    --> Zerg Campaign
    Don't forget you need the Mod File too not just the maps.

    P.S. - I think I finally found a good SC2 material for me to cast on YouTube so I will be recording these for those who would like to watch soon as I am done with Bastion.

    This rocks my world.

    Edit: is this Windows only? I'm running SC2 in OSX until December.

    Ignorant question, but do I just drop these in the "mods" folder, or one of the subfolders?

    Instructions in the page for download, mod goes in mod folder maps go to the maps folder (have to create it if its not there)

    To launch drag a map file onto your SC2.exe (or a shortcut)

    I put a SC2.exe shortcut in both map folders so I can launch it easy and put a shortcut to the map folder on my desktop and named it SC1 Campaign.

    looks sweet. I don't really mind the old graphics that much, but I'll give this a try. Tomorrow. While waiting for class to start.

    I like having widescreen if anything vs old graphics, but its mostly gameplay mechanics like right clicking a scv to mine that I am used to from SC2 that would be brutal for me to relearn the old SC1 way.

    It's a recreation of the original 2 campaigns. Its not 100% true to the original there are a few "artistic" changes and the AI in SC2 is smarter/harder than SC1 but overall its very close.
