I have Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and a nVIDIA Go 7900GS, and I wanted to update my drivers. I checked the nVIDIA control panel in the Control Panel, and surprise - I have DirectX 10 activated!![]()
That ain't the problem. ForceWare says it's 156.25, a horribly old version.
I downloaded from Laptop2Go the latest 169.25, Vista x-64, but when I extract the contents, almost all files come corrupted.
Can anyone help here? Any ideas? Where else can I get the update?
No SP1.

Try a different driver. If you look on their homepage they just released 174.60, which is the latest one found. Be sure to check their homepage and the community forum often, because they usually have a brand new driver every week, sometimes every day.

The ones from NVIDIA's homepage never work for me, for some reason. :/
Other ideas? -
What do you mean by "almost all files become corrupted"? Did you replace the .inf file? I've never had any problems before, so I want to know exactly what your problem is. Any error messages?
(nVidia doesn't do drivers for their GeForce Go series anymore. Those asses). -
When he starts extracting the files to a folder (of his choice), an error message (CRC checksum error) keeps popping up for the remaining files.

I went to LV2G and I don't even see a 169.25
I'm downloading 169.12 and let me see if I can extract it without any problems. -

Follow the link. Although it is from the desktop forum you can download the modded .inf to replace the original inf file. Run setup and you should be good to go. -
The extracted files are broken as well.

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
If you have vista you have DX10, My desktop reported the same thing with my old 7900GT when I first moved to vista, you still wont get the features of DX10 without DX10 hardware though.
